MARTELL, Amador County — Martell is the service location for Amador County’s parks and recreation administration, including permit information for organized use of county parks.
The county Parks and Recreation Department lists its office at 12200-B Airport Road, Martell, with telephone 209-223-6654 and email parksandrecreation@amadorcounty.gov. Posted department business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays.
Which sites are managed?
The county describes the parks program as responsible for county recreation facilities and maintains links to the park directory, park-use handbook, permit application and recreation calendar. County-operated parks include Fiddletown, Lions, Mollie Joyce and Pioneer Park; individual cities and districts also manage separate facilities.
Planning a gathering
Group events, exclusive use of facilities or organized sports may require a county permit and fee. The county lists the relevant handbook and application forms. Applicants should verify the latest rules for insurance, capacity, food activities, equipment and any fee waivers before reserving a date.
A submitted application is not a confirmed reservation. The Martell office is the administrative contact; the actual park being reserved may be many miles away.
