MARTELL, Amador County — Companies interested in supplying goods or services to Amador County can register for county purchasing opportunities through an online vendor system overseen by an office in Martell.
Amador County’s official vendor registration instructions say the Purchasing Division uses Public Purchase to distribute invitations for bids, requests for proposals and requests for qualifications. Registration and access to notices are described as free to vendors.
What are the steps?
First, an organization creates a Public Purchase account. Second, it links that account to the County of Amador. The county says vendors must accept its standard purchasing terms, select relevant product or service commodity codes and complete a W-9 before they can be considered eligible vendors.
Do all opportunities require an office visit?
Many solicitations are distributed online. The county says copies of certain official documents may also be acquired from the General Services Purchasing Office, 12200-B Airport Road, Martell, CA 95654, unless a solicitation specifies another arrangement.
Registration does not guarantee selection, payment or a future contract. Bidders should read the individual deadline, licensing requirements and response method; a late or incomplete proposal may be rejected. The purchasing system is not an authorization to contact county staff outside a formal bid process in an attempt to gain an unfair advantage.
